Pim Permpoolsombat
Pim Permpoolsombat (b. 1995) lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand. Her artistic practice explores the act of simplification—transforming complex systems of communication into distilled, essential forms. Working across painting, installation, poetry, photography, and sculpture, Pim examines the balance between naturalism and dualism, using these concepts to reveal the underlying structures that shape perception, space, and meaning.
With an academic background in architectural design, Pim brings a refined sensitivity to both function and aesthetics. This training informs her approach to composition, materiality, and spatial awareness, allowing her works to move fluidly between poetic abstraction and structural clarity. Rather than imposing narratives, her works invite quiet observation, encouraging viewers to engage with subtle shifts in color, form, and rhythm.
In 2023, Pim completed her Master’s degree in Art and Ecology at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan, where she further developed her interdisciplinary practice within an international context. She previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok in 2018.
Her recent exhibitions include presentations at White Gallery BKK in Bangkok, Milan Design Week, Art Studio Finestreria, and Scalo Lambrate in Milan. Through these exhibitions, Pim’s work has gained recognition for its contemplative atmosphere and its ability to bridge design logic with emotional and ecological awareness.

About the Artwork: Black Circle (1923)
Created as part of his foundational Suprematist triptych—alongside the iconic Black Square and Black Cross—Black Circle is a monumental study in pure geometry. The canvas is reduced to two essential elements: a solid black circle floating against a boundless, unadorned white void. While Malevich’s famous square represented a static and rigid absolute zero of form, the circle embodies dynamic, cosmic energy and endless motion. This specific 1923 version was meticulously crafted by Malevich and his students for the 1924 Venice Biennale to present his pristine aesthetic ideals on the international stage, standing today as a powerful testament to the emotional weight of pure abstraction. -- About the Artist: Kazimir Malevich Kazimir Malevich (1879–1935) was a pioneering Russian avant-garde artist and the visionary founder of Suprematism, one of the earliest and most radical movements in abstract art. Rejecting traditional representational art that depicted real-world objects or landscapes, Malevich sought to express the "supremacy of pure feeling" through fundamental geometric shapes and limited color palettes. He believed that by stripping art down to its absolute bare essentials, the viewer could experience pure, spiritual emotion entirely free from the material world's distractions. His revolutionary approach profoundly shaped the trajectory of modern art, laying the groundwork for generations of minimalist and conceptual artists. --------- Why We Recommend This Piece to You: We recommend Black Circle because it is the ultimate statement of modern minimalism. Its pure, bold geometry and striking contrast effortlessly anchor any room, bringing a profound sense of balance that perfectly complements Nordic or Zen-inspired interiors. Stripped of all unnecessary details, this masterpiece doesn't just decorate a wall; it completely transforms the atmosphere. Presented with a seamless, edge-to-edge finish, it offers a timeless and elegant focal point that invites calm and endless contemplation into your everyday space. --------- Material : Premium Matte Paper

John Henry Twachtman (1853–1902)
was a major figure in American Impressionism, best known for lyrical landscapes and an exceptionally subtle treatment of light and atmosphere. He first studied civil engineering at United States Military Academy, but soon turned to art, training with Frank Duveneck before continuing his education in Europe. His years at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich shaped an early preference for tonal depth and painterly brushwork, while later study at Académie Julian refined his palette into softer, silvery harmonies. After returning to the United States, Twachtman settled in Greenwich and became closely associated with the Cos Cob art colony, a key center for East Coast Impressionism. Rather than pursuing grand subjects, he repeatedly painted the intimate world around his home—waterfalls, gardens, snow scenes—often revisiting the same motifs across changing seasons. These series reveal an artist drawn to mood and quiet transformation, where muted color and delicate tonal shifts create a strong sense of place. He taught at the Art Students League of New York and joined The Ten American Painters in 1898, advocating modern painting beyond academic constraints. His works are held by major museums including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Art.
